Before launch

You will meet the operator or driver, travel to the launch area if transport is part of the booking, and receive the equipment and instructions needed for the flight. This is the time to disclose motion sensitivity, injuries or anything that may affect takeoff and landing.

Takeoff

A tandem launch generally involves following the pilot’s instructions and moving forward together while the wing inflates and begins carrying your weight. Do not improvise. Listen to the pilot and keep moving exactly as instructed.

In the air

The pilot controls the wing. You sit in the harness, take in the landscape and communicate if you are uncomfortable. Some flights are calm sightseeing experiences; others may include more active turns if you want them and conditions permit.

Landing and the weather reality

Landing procedures vary with the site and conditions, so listen closely. Also remember that paragliding is weather-dependent: waiting, rescheduling or cancellation can be signs of a cautious operation, not a failed tour.

Booking note: operators, exact itineraries, inclusions, timing and cancellation terms can change. Confirm the current listing before paying.
