Transport can be the least glamorous part of the booking and the part most likely to affect your day. The useful way to decide is to look at the actual logistics, what you want to learn or experience, and what the current listing includes for your date.
Door-to-door pickup buys simplicity
Pickup is valuable when the launch is unfamiliar, you do not speak much Spanish, or weather changes require coordination. Confirm the actual pickup zone rather than assuming every Medellín neighborhood is covered.
Meeting points can reduce dead time
A central meeting point may mean fewer hotel pickups and a faster departure. Check how early you need to arrive and how you will get home after the flight.
Self-transport needs a return plan
A one-way ride to a launch area is not enough. Confirm mobile coverage, driver availability and the exact return location before deciding that independent transport is cheaper.
Compare total elapsed time
A short flight can still occupy half a day after transfers, check-in, waiting and weather. Plan around the full activity window shown in the booking details.
